Request a quote Request a quote About Meet the Founders Delkon Stairs and Carpentry was founded in 2018 when two local Canberra mates, Will Elkins and Peter Demamiel, decided to combine their skills and businesses to build something bigger together. Both had been running their own successful carpentry contracting operations, working across the ACT on residential and commercial projects. What began as a collaboration between two tradesmen quickly evolved into a business with a clear vision. In the early days, Delkon focused on contract carpentry work, primarily servicing builders across the region. As they built strong relationships within the industry, one recurring issue kept surfacing—there was a serious lack of local options for high-quality, custom staircases.
